Her Vagina is filled with Maggot... real story behind it

I suppose some of you have seen the viral video of the lady who had maggots removed from her vagina. A lot of people blamed it on an unknown STD and most advocates of "say no to unprotected sex" used that as reference point to drive their message home.

Anyways the story behind it all is that there was a gross medical negligence at a government hospital in India,the gauze used to stop the bleeding after delivery was left inside the 22 year old woman by the doctors. The gauze decayed inside her thereby causing a serious infection which resulted into the flesh eating maggot infestation.

22 year old  Reshma Kumar(name changed to protect her privacy) 10 days after giving birth to her baby found flesh eating maggots crawling  down from her legs. Alarmed at her shocking state, Reshma's husband took her to a hospital in Hadaspar.

After examining her, the doctors found out that a large wad of gauze used to stop bleeding had been left inside her vagina after she gave birth.

Reshma has this to say when recanting her experience;

            It was very painful. initially,we thought it was normal to feel sore but when i saw maggots,we became              alarmed and went to the doctor straight away. The reason we did not file a complaint of medical                    negligence is because we are from a different state and i don't even know any other language apart                from Oriya. My husband  does not have enough time and resources to fight the case.

Any delay would have made the wound worse than it was and there were chances of her contracting septicemia,doctors had to remove the gauze swab,maggots and gave her antibiotics.  

Trust my Naija peeps...they used that opportunity to preach the "Say no to Aristo" message.

Still at that...Please say No to unprotected sex.
