Maheeda tells her story as daughter celebrates birthday

At first when i learnt of this daring artiste called Maheeda who came into limelight with a bang because of her passion to always go naked...i was a bit skeptical.  I know how judgmental African culture is most especially Nigerian culture. When Maheeda came into the scene butt naked,i knew all was  not normal but i couldn't place it. In Nigerian culture,it is rare for women to be parading themselves naked or showing off their privates all in the name of being an artiste,the society wont forgive you. The society is harsh,hypocritical  and very judgmental towards women and most people have this bandwagon effect on issues without analyzing it properly.

Maheeda's story lets us know that the struggle is real out there and before you take out the stone to cast someone because they are living a life that is contrary to what you are used to ,lets ask ourselves "what little have we done to help others in similar situation?". 

Orphaned at a very tender age with no help, Maheeda took to the streets to sell her body and along the line,she got pregnant and had to start surviving as a single mother who did all she felt her chances were just to take care of her daughter.
